Elgin church to host 'Let The Women Speak: The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ'
This year, First United Methodist Church of Elgin will hold Good Friday worship at 7 p.m. April 2, both in-person and via Facebook Live.
Presented by notable women pastors from throughout northern Illinois, the service will focus on the "Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ" and the women who were there with him until the end.
Make plans to attend this one-of-a-kind worship service. This event is open to all. Open seating reservations are suggested but are not required on EventBrite.com.
The pastors include the Rev. Dr. Felicia Howell LaBoy, lead pastor and life coach at First United Methodist Church of Elgin; the Rev. Darneather Murph-Heath, United Methodist Church Elgin District Superintendent; the Rev. Melissa Hood, lead pastor at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Elgin; Cynthia Palm, certified lay servant at First UMC-Elgin); the Rev. Fabiola Grandon-Mayer, United Methodist Church Rockford District Superintendent; the Rev. SoYoung Kim, lead pastor at First United Methodist Church in Bensenville; and Prophet Tiffany Henderson, Kingdom Advancement Center Elgin.
