New Vernon Hills store to sell hair-care products

VERNON HILLS - Madison Reed, a company that simplifies the hair-care process by bringing salon-quality hair color into the home, is opening the first of four planned Chicago-area concept stores in Vernon Hills.

The first Madison Reed Color Bar will open Thursday, March 18, at Mellody Farm shopping center. Guests can pop into the store to shop salon-quality color and treatment products or meet with professional colorists for free color matching consultations, the company said.

The store is designed to further the Madison Reed brand's mission: provide better-for-you, luxurious hair color to help women feel confident and beautiful inside and out, the company said.
