Lake Zurich chamber recognizes five members

LAKE ZURICH - The LZ Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a virtual annual appreciation and awards night that honored exemplary members and businesses.

Winners include Lake Zurich Florist, Business of the Year; Ancient Oaks Foundation, Community Impact of the Year; Stephane Goupil and Masato Suzuki, D&J Bistro, Innovator of the Year; Petra Croneigh, Petra 4 Travel, Volunteer of the Year; and Jorge Mendez, La Parroquia Mexican Pancake House, Rookie of the Year.

The program recognizes the efforts of members in the five villages that make up the chamber. Those villages include Lake Zurich, Kildeer, Hawthorn Woods, Deer Park and Long Grove.

Following a nomination process, stories were posted online, and winners were determined by a weighted score (public vote, 20%; membership vote, 50%; and LZACC board of directors vote, 30%).
