Pi Day is Pie Day at Lexington Square Senior Living
If there's any random or whimsical cause for celebration on the calendar, it's likely there's a party in-store. The staff at Lexington Square senior living communities in Lombard and Elmhurst break out the balloons, decorations, and most importantly, treats for the residents on countless holidays, including (but not limited to) National Empanada Day, National Cookie Day, National Picnic Day, and more - so many more.
"Our staff loves to come up with any excuse to make each day special for the residents," said Dan Harrington, vice president of senior living for Lexington Health Care Network. "If there's a reason to throw a party, they do so with great enthusiasm and great food. Our team enjoys making the residents smile and feel loved."
The latest celebration was in honor of National Pi Day, which in reality honors mathematics, but at Lexington, celebrated pastries (pie). The day of delightful desserts became even more meaningful when staff signed on to bring delectable cream and fruit-filled desserts to share. "Pi Day was a success. It was beautiful to see our residents so happy!" said Gio Garzon, human resources coordinator.
