SBA hopes to build worker pipeline

SCHAUMBURG ­- The Schaumburg Business Association has established a new Workforce Development Program to facilitate in attaining and retaining top talent in the Schaumburg area. The program aims to draw skilled talent to Schaumburg and the Northwest suburbs, while helping companies fulfill open positions, the association said.

The launch of the program will begin with workshops and networking opportunities to jobseekers looking for work in the local community. The kickoff event will take place virtually from 6-7 p.m. March 30. In that hour, content will illustrate "how to use LinkedIn to find your next job," followed by networking. Registration is $10 and can be done on the Schaumburg Business Association website, www.schaumburgbusiness.com/workforcehiring.

This initiative will be a multistep project aimed at creating long-lasting jobseeker pipelines and strengthening the development of the region's current workforce, the association said.
