Misogyny on display

I was disgusted by Jim O'Donnell's dismissive and snarky comments about the sacking of Mark Giangreco in his Sunday column March 7. He mentions that "management has elected to err on the side of abject overkill." In his dinosaur-era viewpoint, it's OK to denigrate women with negative stereotypes and pay no consequences.

Also, his noting that Cheryl Burton was a "former Honey Bear" is the worst kind of victim blaming. His so-obvious misogynistic point is that she somehow deserves it because of her past career. No woman deserves to be treated the way Giangreco treated Burton.

WLS did the right thing and O'Donnell needs to find a time machine back to the 1940s.
