A news day to remember

As I write this, it is Tuesday, March 2. As usual I am reading the Daily Herald, browsing through the news of the day, political and otherwise. I then pause for a moment-something is different. Sometimes different is good.

Suddenly I raised my voice (My wife could hear me in the next room). "Guess what, honey, I don't believe it; Donald J. Trump's name is not in the heading of any article in the entire newspaper!"

Not satisfied I searched the paper more meticulously. It was true. Wow, it has been a very long time. There was some minor mention of Donald within the contents of one or two articles but no boldface "Trump" in the title of any article.

Could it be that the former president's words and actions are becoming less newsworthy? Is this the beginning of a trend? It all depends who you ask. But today, March 2, 2021, was a day to remember and who knows what tomorrow will bring.
