COD police offering two safety classes

Residents can learn best practices for crisis management through two virtual courses offered this month by the College of DuPage Police Department.

The courses are free and held through Zoom. Registration is required.

"Stop the Bleed," presented from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 18, provides an overview of best practices in emergency situations where uncontrollable bleeding occurs. "Heads Up," presented from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, offers participants tips to enhance their understanding of situational awareness.

"Arming yourself with information is a key step to successfully navigating a crisis," COD Police Chief Joe Mullin said in a news release. "The College of DuPage Police Department is proud to offer these resources, providing participants valuable information they can apply to many different situations."
