Experienced, passionate

As the pandemic shut down our world, communities found themselves turning to local governments and elected officials to make hard decisions. School districts in Illinois were given the impossible task of weighing education against public health and safety. In Arlington Heights, as in many other communities, it became clear that local elections really do matter. Arlington Heights residents, whether they have school-age children or not, realized that the people who serve on the school board make decisions that directly impact our lives and will shape the future of our district. As vaccination ramps up and case numbers come down, we must now focus on what comes next.

That is why I support Anisha Patel for reelection to the Arlington Heights District 25 School Board. Recognizing and experiencing firsthand the incredible challenges faced by the district this past year, Anisha is rightfully focused on how the board can now help the district move forward and support students by rebuilding trust with the community and retaining excellent teachers. She understands that a school district relies on the hard work and dedication of its teachers and that students will thrive and excel when their teachers are heard and supported.

Anisha combines her background in education, four years of experience as a school board member, a strong belief in community service and a clear passion for District 25 and its students. With the relationships she has built and her strong record of collaboration, I am confident that Anisha is the right candidate to support students and teachers as the district recovers from the effects of our "lost year." I encourage Arlington Heights residents to pay attention to the local election on April 6 and consider joining me in re-electing Anisha to the District 25 school board.
