Breakthrough Ideas is an effort initiated by former state representative Jeanne Ives and communications strategist Kathleen Murphy with the goal of restoring America - restoring America not to its former greatness but simply to its senses.

The problem in the land may be summarized thus: America's business leaders treat the country as a cash cow; her political leaders treat her as a whore; and her cultural leaders regard her as a woke elementary-school project.

America, as founded, was intended to be a political vessel into which the Creator could pour His blessings so we and the rest of the world might partake of its abundance. That cup, after decades of maltreatment, now leaks and it "overfloweth" not with the good heady wine of liberty, but with poisonous leftist ideas and stale, voluminous budget deficits.

Breakthrough Ideas seeks to become a movement for positive change, starting in Illinois' suburbs and expanding into the hinterland and thence into Chicago's inner neighborhoods. May this movement turn into healing for our ailing and troubled land.
