Watch candidates for the Elgin City council take part in a joint interview with a representative of the Daily Herald Editorial Board.

The minute exchange with candidates Anthony Ortiz, Richard Johnson, Steve Thoren, Karin Jones, Dustin Good, Jerri McCue, Jodi Perkins, Rafael Garcia Jr., Corey Dixon and Carol Rauschenberger was recorded on Zoom Feb. 17. Candidate Marcus Banner declined to participate.

The election takes place on April 6. Mail-in voting begins on March 10, with early in-person voting to follow soon after.
