Convergint acquires hospital security equipment company

SCHAUMBURG - Convergint Technologies Tuesday announced its acquisition of Advantage Medical Inc., a California company that installs and supports wireless patient security systems in acute care hospitals. The acquisition further strengthens Convergint's position within the health care safety and security market across the United States, the company said.

Advantage Medical Inc. brings Convergint over 30 years of health care industry expertise, with a specialization in patient security, real time location systems, infant and pediatric patient protection, asset tracking, hand hygiene compliance and automated monitoring.
