Partisan tolerance

I have to wonder if there is a self-awareness of many letter writers' hypocrisy. There are countless defenders of Twitter and Facebook's practice to sensor users because those entities are not "government," and therefore not obligated to protect free speech. OK, fine. I get it. The government protects free speech, and a private sector should be able to control what is communicated through their means. Should the same logic apply to the wedding cake baker who does not want to support same-sex marriage, NFL team owner who wants his employees to behave a certain way or the fast-food company that wants to be closed on Sundays? It seems that the folks who fly the flag of tolerance and inclusiveness do so only when it suits their own beliefs.
