Americans must learn to pull their own weight

Does anyone else notice that every time Nancy Pelosi's name and picture are in the paper she is asking for more money?

Obviously there are people in need during this pandemic time but when will the hand outs stop or at least slow down.($3600 per child. how many children per family) Our 14 great grandchildren will still be trying to get the country out of debt when they get old enough to vote in 15 to 20 years.

Yes, we are in our 90s and won't have to worry much longer about the debt that is piling up and the future of our nation. We do care about this nation. It is just so sad that the only thing that some people think solves a problem is throwing more money at it. Let's not make a segment of our population into ones who are content to take and not contribute.

Do the senators and representatives never really see other answers to situations? Over the past year, hundreds of local agencies and groups have passed out meals and other help including clothing, technical equipment, books and personal items to thousands of local citizens.

I am very concerned about all the free programs. We were a country that saw it important to "pull your own weight." At least that was what I was taught during the Depression and Dust Bowl days in western Kansas.
