Two cats rescued, no injuries reported in Naperville garage fire

Two pet cats were rescued, and no injuries were reported after a fire broke out Monday in a Naperville garage, fire officials said.

Crews arrived about 11:15 a.m. to find smoke showing from the attached garage of a single-family house in the 700 block of Arlington Avenue, according to the Naperville Fire Department. The blaze inside the garage was extinguished and confined to the area of origin.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said. The residence was deemed habitable.

Bolingbrook firefighters assisted at the scene, and Wheaton crews provided coverage for Naperville fire stations.
