Dotson off to good start in G-League bubble
Bulls two-way player Devon Dotson is off to a fast start in the G-League bubble.
On Friday, he just missed a triple-double, finishing with 12 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds against Greensboro. Dotson, a rookie point guard from Kansas, is playing for the Canton Charge, affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, because the Bulls decided not to field a Windy City team this year.
In Canton's opening game on Thursday, Dotson scored 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting. One of his Canton teammates is former Bulls guard Antonio Blakeney, who was named G-League rookie of the year while playing for Windy City a few years ago. Blakeney scored 19 and 11 points in the two games.
Zion-Benton High School grad Admiral Schofield played for Greensboro and scored 15 points on Friday.
Speaking of former Windy City Bulls, Max Strus scored an NBA career-high 21 points for Miami on Thursday in a win over Houston. Strus was a Bulls two-way player last year, but tore his ACL in December at the G-League showcase. He played at DePaul and Stagg High School.
