Vaccine frustration

Where is the vaccine? Why are we having these problems in Northwest Cook County getting the vaccine shots to the 1B group? I have heard lots of explanations for the lack of vaccine shots and none really seem to make sense.

We read articles in the newspaper that the vaccine is on the way. We hear it on the news. We are being told that people in the 1B group have a priority due to age, but still most of us in that group have not been able to schedule an appointment for our first shot.

Why is this happening to this vulnerable population in our area? Our local newspaper, The Daily Herald, needs to search for and report to its readers the answers to these questions.

We're being told by every vaccine site that we contact to "stand by, we'll let you know." That's just not acceptable. Our health and our quality of life depend on getting this vaccine.
