Oswego annexes quary, approves senior complex

OSWEGO - The Oswego village board has approved the annexation of a former stone quarry, saying a business park and residential development is anticipated for the 438-acre site.

In addition, the board approved plans for a senior living community to be built next to village hall.

Fox Ridge Stone, located at Route 71 and Minkler Road, was fully annexed into the village of Oswego's limits.

The board also approved plans by Erdman Senior Living to build the Oswego Village Senior Living Community, which will provide three levels of housing and care for seniors, including 47 independent living townhouses and patio homes; 66 studio, one- and two-bedroom assisted living apartments; and a memory care facility with 32 beds.

The community will be located at Route 31 and Washington Street, adjacent to Oswego Village Hall, and construction is expected to begin this spring, the village said.
