Pet-sale ordinance needed

The City of Aurora is considering a resolution prohibiting the sale of commercially-raised dogs in pet stores and limiting the sale of pets to humane sources such as rescues and shelters. If passed, consumers would no longer be duped into buying a puppy mill puppy and left with high veterinary bills or the heartbreak of a sick puppy. Several neighboring cities, including Naperville, have already passed a similar ordinance and Aurora needs to do the same. Please contact your alderman ASAP and voice your support for this important legislation.
