Police officers and paramedics were called to the area of Fairfax Lane and Army Trail Road about 1 p.m. for a 2015 Toyota RAV4 that had left the road and crashed into a tree. The driver was transported to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

Investigators determined the vehicle had been traveling north on Fairfax from Army Trail.

Fairfax Lane was closed between Penny Lane and Fairfax Circle for approximately three hours because of the crash.
