Too many are willing to buy conspiracy lies
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a QAnon supporter, espouses kooky conspiracy theories. It would seem that is what her voters want. Greene received more than 70% of the votes in her Georgia district.
It is frightening to realize how many like-minded people there are in districts across the United States. For example, Rush Limbaugh has been paid more than $80 million per year to spew the conspiracy theories that his 15 million loyal listeners like to hear.
For Limbaugh's years of providing Americans with misinformation, President Donald Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. For Trump's 30,000 lies to the American people during a four-year term, the American people in 2020 awarded him 74 million votes.
It was not a small band of "loonies" who marched to the Capitol on Jan. 6. It was thousands of Trump loyalists whom he incited to "fight like hell."
Our republic is in danger. There are far too many who believe Trump's lies and who do not recognize that the conspiracy theories being espoused by the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene are "kooky."
