Chicago man charged in robbery of Naperville delivery driver
A 21-year-old Chicago man has been charged in the Sept. 28 robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Naperville, authorities said.
An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for Dumareah Johmel Taylor, who is accused of stealing cash from the delivery driver on the 100 block of East Bailey Road, according to Naperville police.
Officials say Taylor implied he had a gun and threatened to shoot the driver if he didn't hand over all his money. He fled the scene before police arrived, but he was later identified as the suspect based on victim and witness statements, along with other evidence.
Taylor, of the 1200 block of North Mason Avenue, Chicago, was charged with a felony count of robbery, police said. He was also recently arrested by the Chicago Police Department in connection with a carjacking in which no injuries were reported.
Anyone with information is asked to call Naperville police at (630) 420-6666 and be directed to the Investigations Division.
