Apply for Palatine small business grants through Feb. 12
Small businesses in Palatine can apply on a first-come, first-serve basis through Feb. 12 for the village's COVID-19 small business assistance grant program.
The program provides up to $10,000 for small businesses. Requirements include having been licensed with the village and/or state since 2019; having 20 or fewer full-time employees; being locally owned, for-profit business (if a franchised business, cannot have received COVID-19-related corporate financial assistance); demonstrating a revenue loss of 20% or more from April to November 2020 compared to the previous year; and more.
The money can go to 100% reimbursement for direct COVID-19 related expenses (personal protective equipment, workspace and/or equipment modifications, and more) or 50% reimbursement up to $5,000 for operating costs, not including payroll.
