Naperville Park District to begin renovations at Veterans Park
Work is expected to begin this month on renovations to Naperville's Veterans Park, including installing new flags and flagpoles, adding uplighting and reconstructing the existing pavers and driveway apron, according to the Naperville Park District.
The improvements are scheduled to be complete by Memorial Day. The 14-acre park at 303 E. Gartner Road is leased by the park district from the city of Naperville. The site features open space, access to the DuPage River Trail, and a plaza and flag display honoring veterans.
The parking lot will remain open for most of the project, other than a temporary closure during the renovation of the driveway apron, park officials said.
