Bartlett Raiders begin legacy brick memorial project in lead up to 50th anniversary

In the fall of 2023, the Bartlett Raiders will be kicking off the organization's 50th anniversary.

In order to prepare, "The Annals of the Raiders" is currently being constructed with plans to place it on www.bartlettraiders.org.

They are interested in any history, information, and rich stories of days past which can be contributed. This can include but is not limited to names of coaches, famous players, and/or accomplishments since the organization's existence. Information can be sent to secretary@BartlettRaiders.org.

In order to honor and memorialize the people and businesses who have dedicated their time, efforts, and donations to make the organization what it is today, we invite everyone to purchase a Raiders Legacy Brick for the Bartlett Raiders Memorial Path.

It is the perfect way to solidify the names and their contributions to the organization in preparation for the 50th anniversary. This path will be placed as you leave the concession stand and approach the home football field located at Ruzicka Memorial Park, 654 Newport Blvd., Bartlett, IL 60103. The bricks may be purchased at www.fundraisingbricks.com/BartlettRaiders/

Additionally, prior to the 50th anniversary, the Raiders would like to prepare by making much needed repairs, renovations, and improvements to our home football field and facilities.

These improvements included but are not limited to the repairs and renovation of the concession stand, proper field grading and drainage, a new announcer's stand, additional seating, signage to show the Raiders' rich championship history, and proper signage to let everyone know that Ruzicka is the "Home of Your Bartlett Raiders."

In order to achieve this goal, the organization will use the funds from the Raiders Memorial Path and are looking to obtain any future donations and sponsorships.

Future donations and sponsorships will also help purchase new equipment, lower registration costs and fees for the youth in the Bartlett area, and provide free football and cheerleading for the underprivileged. The contributions can be in form of a monetary donation going toward a sponsorship with the organization, the purchase of a corporate/personal brick for the Raiders Memorial Brick Path, or in the form of an item which can be auctioned off at the annual Raiders golf outing, typically held in August every year.

Registration for new and returning Raiders for football and cheerleading will be held later this spring.
