Northwestern Medicine opens behavioral health center in Wheaton

WHEATON - Northwestern Medicine is expanding access to behavioral health services with the opening of a new office in Wheaton. Adolescent and adult programs are now available at 7 Blanchard Circle near Wheaton's Danada Square.

The expansion brings partial hospital outpatient programming to the same building that houses Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care and medical offices.

"While our expansion plans have been underway for some time, opening during the pandemic allows us to respond to the increased need for in-person, safe, physically distanced mental health care," said Kevin Poorten, senior vice president, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, and president of Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital.

Services at the new Wheaton office include in-person group and individual therapeutic support for a full spectrum of mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders and life transition crises. A multidisciplinary team provides education, individual therapy and guidance.
