Cinemark to reopen suburban theaters Friday

Cinemark Holdings Inc. said it will reopen seven of its Illinois theatres on Friday, Jan. 29, including ones in West Dundee, Deer Park, North Aurora and Woodridge, the company said.

The theaters are reopening in accordance with updated local COVID-19 mandates and will be showing both new and classic films. Moviegoers looking to stay within their trusted group can book a Private Watch Party to watch the film of their choice with the group of their choice for just $99 for Comeback Classics and $149 for new movies.

In addition to this year's newest films, Cinemark will offer more than 20 Comeback Classic films for Private Watch Parties, including "Anchorman," "Kung Fu Panda," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Legally Blonde," "Selma," "Groundhog Day" and more.

Other Cinemark theaters reopening in the state are in Bourbonnais, Joliet and Melrose Park.
