Lake County group offers curbside food pickup for those in need

Curbside food pickup events for people in need will be held every Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until supplies last at CAP Catering Banquet Hall & Dining on Genesee, 206 Genesee St., Waukegan.

The event is provided by Community Action Partnership of Lake County, in partnership with Northern Illinois Food Bank and Roberti Community House.

Participants should wear a mask and stay in their vehicles as volunteers place boxes in the trunk. Volunteers are welcome to help with packing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays.
