Convergint adds AI to security systems

SCHAUMBURG - Convergint Technologies has announced a partnership with Dragonfruit AI, an industry leading enterprise video AI platform.

Convergint Technologies' customers now can activate Dragonfruit AI's solution on top of their existing security video equipment to attain business intelligence, helping them make informed, data-driven decisions to streamline efficiencies, drive automation efforts and lower costs, Convergint said.

"This past year, we saw a dramatic acceleration of digital transformation themes, allowing us to experience the versatility and value (that) business intelligence can bring to traditional security functions," said Eric Yunag, vice president of technology and innovation for Schaumburg-based Convergint.

Convergint Technologies is a $1 billion global systems integrator that designs, installs and services electronic security, fire alarm and life-safety systems.
