Naperville Park District to choose summer concert locations

Rather than allowing residents to vote online for their favorite locations, the Naperville Park District will choose the sites of an outdoor summer concert series based on space for social distancing.

Through the annual "Concerts in Your Parks" events, friends, families and neighbors can gather at a nearby park to listen to live music performed by local bands, according to a news release.

This year, the park district plans to secure a variety of concert locations throughout the community depending on size and layout. COVID-19 safety measures will be in effect during each event, officials said.

Concert sites, bands and schedules will be announced in the spring.
