Politics and blindness

"Whom the gods would destroy they first make mad," the saying goes. The insanity that was exhibited at our nation's Capitol was the result of the animus cultivated by years of indoctrination fostered and engendered not only by Donald Trump but all those who perpetuated his myopic view for the facts. To this date, the denial continues, in spite of the fact that his appointed officials and fellow Republicans could not and would not confirm his jaundiced allegations. Those so blind that they will not see suffer from a national cataract. We can only hope and pray that the changing of the guard includes a noted ophthalmologist, someone who can cure this tragic malady.
