Man stabbed during domestic dispute in Palatine

A 28-year-old man was stabbed in a domestic dispute Tuesday night in Palatine, authorities said.

The Palatine Fire Department responded to a call about a stabbing at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday in a multifamily building on the 500 block of East Fawn Lane, Deputy Fire Chief Patrick Gratzianna said.

Firefighters/EMTs arrived within four minutes and were asked to wait outside for a couple of minutes until Palatine police gave the go-ahead to enter, he said.

The victim was transported in fair condition to Advocate General Lutheran Hospital in Park Ridge, he said.

Palatine police Cmdr. Bruce Morris, the department's public information officer, said no one was in custody Wednesday.

"We have no further comment at this time due to it being an active investigation," he said.
