In a normal year, Glenbrook North senior Alyssa Kahn might be looking forward to badminton season with the Spartans.
That remains to be seen this year, but Kahn also remains vigilant off the court.
She is president of one of the school's service clubs, Key Club, affiliated with Kiwanis. She is a four-year member of the Key Club and also is a member of Voices, a Jewish United Fund foundation that raises money for charitable causes.
Kahn's activities have earned her a Glenbrook North Class Act award. Key Club sponsor Bridget Bucklin said: "It is her commitment to doing the less-glamorous work and her always-positive attitude that has made her stand out as a leader."
