Free tax preparation help for Arlington Heights seniors

The Arlington Heights Senior Center Main is scheduling appointments for free assistance with tax preparation.

The service is offered through the Tax Counseling Service for the Elderly (TCE) program. Appointments will be conducted on Wednesdays and Thursdays, beginning Feb. 3 through April 15.

Those interested are urged to make an appointment early, as spots fill up quickly. To make an appointment, visit the senior center's main office or call (847) 797-5304.

Once registered, participants are asked to arrived at the senior center at their scheduled time with their tax documents, a completed 14446 form and intake booklet. Masks are required. A volunteer will review and scan documents, and a tax preparer will complete the tax return. Participants will return on another scheduled date/time to review, sign, and receive a copy of the return.
