Lessons learned

I learned resilience, innovation and technology beyond my wildest dreams, walking out of my classroom March 13, not knowing I wouldn't go back even up to now.

My students learned with me, as well as the grit it would take to make it though June.

I learned that my youngest's high school graduation was one of the best graduations. All five of us were together in our home not worried about a party, food or securing seats.

I learned remote learning is challenging for everyone involved, but we must rise to the occasion and be grateful we can still be educated.

I learned I can "know" my new students this year through Google Meets. I learned they have gotten to "know" me, too.

I learned my decisions to stay home, wear a mask, keep distance and wash my hands not only helps me, but it helps my community.
