Focus on the positive

It has been unfortunate that a unified battle in fighting the disease was not prevalent in the political arena.

It seems quite obvious to me that, over the last four years, a political civil war was being fought in Washington and spread to political leaders across America. Yes, it seems the Democrats opposed everything that the president did, no matter the issue. I know that opposition has always existed in politics, but not to the extent it has over these last four years. In their opposition, it was quite evident that hatred was their basis. They never offered any civil recommendations to any of the issues America faced. At least that's my perception based on the news media's reports.

I personally feel the COVID-19 numbers are skewed in favor of presenting a future of hopelessness. None of the reports offer any hope. Even when something appears to be good, it is spun with the word "but" and ends with a negative thought. Now that Joe Biden is assumed to be our next president, I notice he and the Democrats are presenting their means of combating the virus and reported in a positive vein in the news. Where were these suggestions and support over the last 10 months? Yet, as he is set to assume the presidency, he still continues to criticize Trump. I wonder when he and the Democrats will let go and lead America. Only time will tell.

There will always be something broken, but we've made huge strides over the years. Why not focus on the progresses rather the next broken scenario?
