Longtime Buffalo Grove police records supervisor retires

The Buffalo Grove Police Department said farewell last week to longtime Records Unit Supervisor Linda Paul, who retired after more than 30 years of service to the department and community.

Paul first joined the agency in 1988, when the police department was still housed in the basement at village hall. She was promoted to records supervisor in 2000, and was responsible for overseeing police records, including citations and arrests, public requests for information, and reporting to state and federal agencies.

Paul has received numerous awards including Employee of the Year (2001) and Employee of the Quarter (2000), in addition to several Unit Citations.

She said the best part of her job is "keeping accurate and organized records" and ensuring the employees have all they need.
