Change the rules

I have a recommendation for Congress when it is back in session. Legislators should take the necessary steps to reduce the length of time between the election and when the newly elected president assumes office. As it stands now, much mischief can occur in this lengthy interim period. The outgoing president only needs sufficient time to pardon the convicted crooks he hired during his term in office. On second thought, this authority should be revoked so the defeated president can give full attention to his golf game as he prepares to leave office. A further recommendation is to require candidates running for president to take and pass a high school or college level civics class.
