Food trucks added to brewery's Alpine Fest

LONG GROVE - Buffalo Creek Brewing in historic downtown Long Grove said it has added a second food truck to its upcoming New Year's Alpine Fest in the outdoor Alpine Biergarten.

The inaugural Alpine Fest begins at noon both Friday, Jan. 1, and Saturday, Jan. 2, at 360 Historical Lane in Long Grove. This all ages, no admission event will feature food trucks, live music, cold beer and toasty fires (no reservations necessary) outside in the Alpine Biergarten. Aztec Dave's food truck serves up authentic Mexican food on Friday, while Fork n Fry, a food truck specializing in poutine and gourmet loaded french fries, will be on-site on Saturday.

The German-style brewery recently transformed its expansive grounds into an alpine winter retreat to continue serving safely during the pandemic.

"Winter lovers will find refuge at Buffalo Creek Brewing's Alpine Biergarten," says owner/brew master Mike Marr, who based the concept off his travels in Europe where winter biergartens are traditional. "Although the beer and outdoor temps may be cold, the atmosphere will warm your soul!"
