One man injured in Elgin shooting

Elgin police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Sunday morning.

Officers responded about 10:18 a.m. Sunday to the 300 block of Bent Street for a reported shooting, according to Elgin police. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man with a serious injury who was then taken to a hospital. Police did not provide additional information on his condition.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call (847) 289-2600 or text 847411 with ElginPD at the beginning of the message.
