Now is the time for all of us to work together

I join the Editorial Board in thanking Rep. Adam Kinzinger for his integrity and courage in challenging President Donald Trump's false statements concerning the election. We should all be as willing as Rep. Kinzinger to embrace facts and reject partisanship and dishonesty from any quarter, on any issue.

In his YouTube video, Kinzinger says, "As a society, we've become unmoored from facts."

I hope in the coming two years Rep. Kinzinger will work with other Illinois representatives including Sean Casten, to put aside partisan differences, embrace facts and find common ground on the critical issues.

But they can do that only if we lay aside our own biases and support them in that work. Contact your representative and ask them to work in a fact-based, nonpartisan way for the good of the country.
