NBA's COVID testing results should help Bulls

The league announced that just one of 549 tests for the coronavirus since Dec. 10 came back positive among NBA players. There was no official confirmation, but it's possible the lone positive was Bulls forward Noah Vonleh, who was released Tuesday after being listed as inactive before the Bulls' second preseason game on Sunday.

This appears to be good news for Tomas Satoransky and Devon Dotson, two players who were late scratches before Sunday's contest and did not make the trip to Oklahoma City. There was no reason given for their absence, but based on these results released by the NBA, they did not test positive for COVID and are more likely out due to contact-tracing guidelines.

The Bulls will finish the four-game preseason on Friday with a rematch against the Thunder.

Vonleh, the No. 9 pick of the 2014 draft out of Indiana, had 12 points and 8 rebounds in the Bulls' opening preseason game. But he wasn't likely to make the final roster since the Bulls already have 15 players with guaranteed contracts.
