COD trustee to serve on association's public policy committee
College of DuPage Trustee Maureen Dunne has been named to the Association of Community College Trustees' public policy and advocacy committee.
The Naperville resident will serve on the panel throughout 2021.
"Trustee Dunne will be a fine representative for the ACCT to help advocate for community colleges nationally," COD board Chairman Frank Napolitano said in a statement.
A COD graduate, Dunne obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Chicago, a master's from the London School of Economics and a doctorate in cognitive sciences from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Dunne co-founded, led and advised venture-backed technology companies.
The ACCT is a nonprofit educational organization of governing boards, representing trustees who govern more than 1,200 community, technical and junior colleges.
