Elgin church to host 'Blue Christmas' Dec. 21
On Monday, Dec. 21, First United Methodist Church of Elgin invites you to "Blue Christmas," a virtual worship service of reflection, comfort, and hope.
On the longest night of the year, gather (virtually) to remember lost loved ones, to ask God for relief from the sadness and grief that so many of experience during this time of year, and to ask for prayers for all those who are struggling.
This quiet, peaceful, online worship service will feature candles, prayers, and a special performance from Rev. Tanya Walker.
It will be held at 7 p.m. via www.facebook.com/fumcelgin.
Sunday worship is at 9 a.m. online.
You also can listen to the service at 11 a.m. on WRMN 1410AM/96.7FM. The weekly radio broadcast continues throughout the shutdown.
