Free COVID-19 testing to be offered at McHenry County College

The McHenry County Department of Health will host free mobile COVID-19 testing Saturday at McHenry County College.

The testing site, which will be operated by the Illinois Department of Public Health, will run 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. in parking lot F at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

The tests will be administered in a drive-through fashion and no appointment is necessary, according to a news release. Individuals do not need to be exhibiting symptoms or have a doctor's note in order to get tested.

There are no out-of-pocket costs, but those with insurance should bring their insurance card, according to the release.

Results will be provided by phone four to seven days after the test is administered, according to the release. If a call has not been received in that time frame, participants can call (888) 297-7208.
