Nearly 7,800 new COVID-19 cases, 78 deaths found in Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Another 7,793 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, Indiana health officials said Saturday.
The new cases bring to 375,019 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the coronavirus, the Indiana Department of Health said.
An additional 78 people have died from COVID-19, bringing to 6,285 the total number of deaths in Indiana from the virus, the department said.
To date, 2,292,178 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,272,182 on Friday, the department said. A total of 4,525,760 tests, including repeat tests for certain individuals, have been reported to the state health department since Feb. 26.
