Medinah District 11 appoints new superintendent

The Medinah Elementary District 11 board approved the appointment of Susan Redell as superintendent, effective March 1, 2021, at its regularly scheduled board meeting on Dec. 3.

Redell was hired in 1997 as a fourth-grade teacher at the Intermediate School.

In 1999, she was promoted to principal at the Primary School. Since 2005, she has served as the director of learning in the district.

The position became available with the upcoming retirement of Dr. John Butts.
