Palatine chamber promotes local holiday shopping

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting local businesses to join an online holiday shopping guide called "There's No Place Like Palatine for the Holidays."

The guide will include retailers and those who sell gift cards and services, such as beauty salons, wine stores, restaurants, fitness clubs, pet services and more.

The guide will be featured on palatinestrong.com, on the chamber's website at palatinechamber.com and in the villages's e-newsletter, along with advertising on social media, electronic billboards and more.

The cost is free for chamber members and $30 for nonmembers.

Those who want to be included in the holiday guide need to sign up by Wednesday by clicking on "business sign up" at palatinestrong.com. That also applies to businesses who already are listed on the website and want to be in the holiday shopping guide.

The chamber also is encouraging shoppers to participate in a "Shop Small" week and patronize local stores Nov. 28 to Dec. 5.

Palatinestrong.com was started by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The website is free to all local businesses, independent of chamber membership. For more information call (847) 359-7200.
