Health-care crisis

As COVID-19 is exploding in the USA, I find myself getting truly tired and exhausted by individuals taking the time to blame China. Of course we can assume it started in China but just pointing a finger of blame, what does that do to combat the disease? I really don't care who is to blame, what I care about is defeating it.

I am an individual who looks forward and I am deeply concerned at what is in store.

Each year in the USA prior to the pandemic, over half a million citizens filed for bankruptcy and/or lost their homes due to overwhelming medical bills. Right now, we see more than a quarter of a million dead and in excess of ten million confirmed cases. You can be sure that those who died were in the hospital and many of the others received health care, most of it very sophisticated and of course very expensive. Added to that, we have people who have lost their jobs, cannot pay their mortgage, etc.

How many of those individuals or families will have to file bankruptcy and/or lose their homes? There are those who have used the virus as a political arm. Sorry, it is a deadly virus that is on a mission to kill more of us. Let's get together and find out what we can possibly do to slow it down and hopefully eradicate it.

If you think 2020 has been a dreadful year, just wait until 2021. To quote a famous lady I believe it will be an annus horibilis.
