Call me skeptical

Can Joe Biden unite the nation? Call me a little more than skeptical. Full disclosure: I did not vote for either candidate (I did vote). Biden was chosen by the Democratic Party as moderates and many minorities were not flocking to anyone else.

He really never campaigned for either the democratic nod or the presidency. Just count up the states he never visited. To get the nod he had to make agreements with the left (Bernie and others) for what we don't know yet but will find out soon enough.

He signed up to a platform that treats every issue as a social justice issue (disagree only if you have actually read the platform). He put AOC and therefore much of the Green New Deal into this challenge. If you are not in a union, don't expect for much of this to come your way.

Personally, I could not vote for a party that does not believe in science nor could I vote for a party goes so far toward socialism.

If you are moderate in this country neither party has given you an alternative for too long. As a person, I could have voted for Biden but in the end, I don't trust that he is strong enough to push back against the left wing of his party or the media.

I hope that is not the case, as many moderates in his party voted for him and there are 70 million voters, including many working-class minority voters, on the other side who voted for Trump who likely hope so also.

They were disenfranchised by the progressive Democratic Party during Obama's presidency and if it happens again will undoubtedly rise up again.

So, watch closely to see if the Democratic Party and the national media continue to demonize anyone who voted for Trump and whether or not Biden speaks up. My hope is that Biden is strong enough and I am wrong.
